what are your views on religion. is there a god which is the best religion?

I personally find it as one of the major factors that are leading us to many conflicts of the present era.

Me, myself, and i, belive that there is a higher power, and that he created us, but i also belive we evolved, and that there is a heaven no matter what, just that the quality of our heaven depends on our actions here on the living plane.
Was raised as a devout mormon.

i feel the world would be better off all atheist since then theres no fighting

however, if that happens, the entire world will just all be the same. No individuality, no uniqueness, no fun. hahaha

I believe religion is a way to teach good moral values...however, religion is also a basis for just about every war ever fought between men. Man knows how to do nothing better than wage war. Even without religion we'd find a reason to wage war against someone else. Arguments, fights, etc. are all forms of war. Either way...we're all going to fight one form of war or another. =\

well, man knows more than just wage war... apparently and sadly, debating is also a form of war. (in some ways) o_O
but it's always fun to stand your ground and defending your answer :3

But debating is fun because you get to see so many other points of view on the matter. Plus, in a mean/cruel way, it's fun to burst peoples bubbles when you ask them for proof and they get all flustered when they can't give you an answer x3 Plus, some people are really cute when they get flustered. ;3

All religions (including atheism and the like) is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard.

It's funny though because my dad says that "everyone believes in one form of god or another." Can't we call ourselves gods? I have an idea!!! Let's create a religion based on the guild and then produce it to the masses and make millions of dollars!!! =D All we need is a good guy and a bad guy x3

all religions are basing their focus on the same thing... they all have the same rule - be good and you will go to heaven and be bad and go to hell. As soon as we realize it we can live in peace and harmony with no war! But until that day new Hitlers are being born everyday (ex. George Bush)

The problem, my friend is what do you consider a good or bad action and how will another culture view that same action as good or bad?

Somewhere along the line someone said,
"If you do good you will go to heaven and there will be cake."
And so they spread their sky-cake idea all over.
But, they stepped off the boat one place, said, "Hey did you hear the good news about the sky-cake?"
and the people they spoke to said, "Fuck you, it's Sky-Baklava! Let's kill him!"
