City Defense Plan. Empty City Defense Plan.

I think one of our major problems with city pvp is that we never have a plan.
We flag too early.
We go for the wrong target.
We get gangbanged.

This is my plan for City Defense.

The essential plan is that we use Area of Effect spells to our advantage. We always waste time focusing on one target leaving us open for attack by everyone else in their group. What we need is a planned critical strike attack.

I'm going to use UC as my first example.

Undercity

Now MM's main goal is to farm Gtokens from us. They attack UC first because they have portals into it just like we have and it drops them right on the outer ring right next to Sylvanas.
What usually happens is that they get there first triggering the alarm and then they wait in long choke point of a hallway to the Royal Chamber and proceed to gangbang us until we give up.

Here's the game plan
1) Do not flag as soon as you port in NOR do you flag as soon as you see an enemy. In fact, don't attack whatsoever until everyone is in place and we group up immediately while we are still in the guild house.
2) We need Mages, Priests, Retadins, Protadins, Rogues, Warriors and anyone else with a gnarly Area of Effect attack.
3) Don't say a word to them. We speak in Raid/party/guild ONLY. Do not respond to their provocations.
4) We pass them in the Hallway to the Royal Chamber unflagged and we lie and wait. Buff up, Raid buffs, pots, food. All of it.
5) We wait in the circle around the Dark Lady on the outer edges of the room, once they've decided that we're not a threat they will proceed to attack the Sylvanas.
6) Here's where the fun begins: Counting down 3, 2, 1. On 3; move in close. On 2; Pop Trinkets, Macros, Skills. On 1; We blast them all simultaneously with Divine Storm, Hammer of Righteous, Holy Nova, Arcane Explosion, Blast Wave, Frost Nova, Fan of Knives, Bladestorm. Use Instant Cast AoEs, no channeled spells, that will only get us killed.

If there are any survivors we can pick them off easily.

I understand that we're on a PvE realm, but we need guild tokens just as badly as they want them.
I want to prove that STORM is the best of the best and that MM has been writing checks their character's can't cash.

So what do you guys think?
I'll add in more for the other cities if this idea is well received.

me and zanz tend to have a plan of stunlocking then vanish but i do like this one. i just dont think weve ever had enough people on at once. you also have to take in account the fact that inumatip will be hiding somewhere waiting to protect them

Unless he's got full tps, he cannot be as bad as some of the players I've fought against on BT or Kara.
We can use their own tactics against them, they gang bang us, we can gang bang them.

They have more people. Always. I am not sure how well this plan encompasses that definite possibility. Nevertheless, I think its a good plan if we can pull it off.

If they all group up in the hallway as you say, I propose a pincer attack; supplied we have enough members helping. Using a pincer attack we attack on both sides at once. However, don't have each other attack the closest target, get a running start and formulate who attack who. This way they have to think for a while to find out who they need to help kill first.

Keep them guessing and throw the stuns at them and the DoTs, and they shouldn't be a problem. A good advantage most PvP does, or at least I've seen, is to keep moving. Like rogues can sprint loops around casters, making them misfire because they aren't facing the right direction. Rogues should also make good use of disarm. Most players don't bother leveling their unarmed skill, which means plenty of misses from them.

The strategy varies from defense to defense, so take your time calculating your plan. Patience is the key.

You can have a warrior take care of Inumaltp, just berserker rage and he cant really stun you, then smack him and DoT him till he dies
